Gearing up for a great month!

So I am sitting here staring at my bag of Crunch Crunch mix that I bought for a party I have this month.  I bought 3 bags... one was eaten this week and now another one has been opened!  I can't help it!  It has come to be my favority snack!!  So now I have to try to hold onto this last bag for a party I have on Sat. :) haha - I will be ordering more at the end of the week.

So I didn't feel like cooking when I got home today - so decided to make a single frozen pizza.... But! to jazz it up, I sprinkled some DYB? For the Love of Garlic Seasoning on top, before I baked it in the oven.  WOW... it was sooo tasty!  A great improvement to a plain cheese frozen pizza.  I swear that seasoning makes everything taste better!  Do You Bake? posted another use for the seasoning on Facebook today...

Take Pita Bread and cut into 4's or 6's. Dab a little olive oil on each side. Sprinkle Do You Bake? For the love of Garlic seasoning. Broil (500F) until crisp -- about 2 to 4 mins. Serve warm. I served mine with Hummus I bought at Trader Joe's today. Could also serve with a yummy salsa. I used Whole Whe...at Pita to make it a little healthier!

Sooo yummy! - I would even add the seasoning to a plain hummus! mmmmm :) - Oh and the hummus would be from Crazy About Hummus!  It is a local company from Lancaster, PA and they make the BEST hummus in a ton of flavors... all natural and local ingredients.

So this is a busy week!  I have a DYB? party on Sat., school work, new internet and phone being hooked up, training for a new job, state job tests, DYB? phone call starts this week.... PLUS, they are saying more snow! UGH.... I am soooo done with the snow!

Some good news... I am getting emails about my team placing party orders and some are in the process of planning parties!  So exciting!  I also have a new member joining my team this week!  WooHooo!

I will post my menu for the first party this week.... I was thinking about making the Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels... but have them shaped like hearts since it's a Valentine's Day party!  I also want to get some cute little gifts for guests!

Snowed in again....

Wow, what a week... lots of snow here in Philly.  I was amazed that it snowed again on my days off!!  I was pretty happy about that, especially about not haveing to wake up at 4am to dig my car out.... it was pretty deep.  The roads around here barely get plwed, so right now we have inches of ice on the road.  It is so bumpy and my car keeps sliding... Thankfully, I am close to many things, so I walked to the post office, deli, bank and 711 today to get things done.  Too bad there is not a wine store near by, since I could use a glass!!!  Such a stressful week... dealing with HR at my work.  Why does it take so long for things to get fixed??? ugh...

Well, with being snowed in, I did a lot of cooking and baking. Pics are on Facebook :)

I made the DYB? Cinnamon Raisin (Bread Machine) Mix - except I left out the rasins - hehe.  It made the house smell soooooo good!  I had a piece all warm with some butter when it was done - YUM!

I then made a Frittata with the DYB? Frittata Seasoning... I added some cheddar cheese, broccoli, carrots and onions.  It was really good! So easy to make... I am going to make these more often as soon as I order the seasoning again! haha - there is just so much you can do with the simple recipe it comes with.

I also made the DYB? Chocolate Chip Beer Bread!  I did not have any beer in the house, so I used Root Beer!  It came out really good!  I was given an idea to sprinkle the DYB? Sinfully Cinnamon Seasoning on top, which I did and it made a great crust! :)

I got some leads this week as well... some from the company, someone found me on Google, and I got a phone call as well about DYB? - Hopefully I can get in touch with them and get some more members to the team!

My Goodie Bags are ready to be sent out... I will mail them out tomorrow for the Feb. event :)  I hope I get some "bites" from that!  We shall see.

Also starting in Feb., along with my weekly leadership calls, we are having one-on-one calls with the owner.  I am super excited about this!  I am hoping to get some good training as well as a mentorship.  I really want to learn more about this business.  I spoke to a woman this week who has been with Avon for 22 years!  I found that amazing!  She has a downline of almost 700 people... I couldn't even imagine... but that would be nice - haha.

OH - I got some of the new wine accessories this week too.  The stoppers and wine charms are beautiful... I absolutely love them!  For anyone having any weddings coming up - these are great!  I also got a decorative wine bottle holder which is delightful!  I am going to display them with my upcoming parties.... maybe sell one or two....

Well.... I have to finish up my homework which I really do not feel like doing. :(  Oh well.... Until next time my friends :)

Communication is great....

I just have to say that the communication and support that I get from the company (DYB?)  is awesome :)  I love getting instant results and being able to talk to people openly in the company!  It says a lot about the company as a whole.  I send out an email - I get one back.  I can't even get this from my everyday job.... that is why I am still without health insurance since I have been back from military training (4 months ago) and that is also why my paperwork for my bonus and pay raise had some errors and I am still waiting on that a month later... UGH .... such a headache.  But things are slowing getting taking of... it's just a waiting game.

So today I decided to make the Do You Bake? Fruit Muffins.... sooo yummy! I added mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries).  I ate one warm out of the oven with a little butter.  WOW - so good!  And they are not too sweet, which I liked.  I will post some pics later on Facebook :)

Tonight for dinner, I made the Forbidden Black Rice with Salmon (Rice Meal Solution) except... I do not eat salmon - so I substituted chicken and used olive oil instead of vinegar and baked the chicken in the oven with the herbs/spices.  It was really good!  Pics will be up on Facebook too... I have never had black rice before.  It has a very unique flavor and went really well with the spices provided in the mix.  It was a really nice healthy meal... I am alone tonight, so it was dinner for 1.  But now I have leftovers! (which is rare) haha

Well, I am off to watch some TV and have a glass of wine :) It is sooooo cold out!  I am so dreading the morning.... my bathroom does not have heat... yes that is right - there is no heat.  Whoever designed that must have not thought about the cold winter months... UGH!

Until next time!

Well... it just seems about everyday now someone new is joing our lovely Do You Bake? family :)  Welcome Jennifer from AR!!!  So happy to have you!!  Much success to you and everyone working on growing their business....

I feel like I am getting a little spoiled sometimes.... I tend to get a little down when a day goes by and no one new joined my team! haha - then I have to tell myself that this is not the norm, and what I am experiencing right now is pretty much everyone's dream in direct sales! haha... so I should feel lucky! and I do as well as happy and proud. :)

I am back home in Philly today.... it has been over a week since I have been home.  I have so much to do... clean... do laundry... get a phone line put in.  Plus, I really want to make my home office.  I looked in that room today and felt overwhelmed, just by looking at it!  How did I accumulate so much stuff??  Most of it will be sold on eBay... I just have to organize and start selling stuff little by little.  Whatever does not sell, will be placed by the curb.  Nothing lasts 24 hours out there - hehe - there is always someone driving by that will take it :)  It is such a project though....  There will be much music being played as well as glasses of wine being poured that day.... hopefully I can get a bunch on my days off.  Even though I have a CPR certification class this Thursday.  We shall see...

So with my downline growing and growing... listing people and keeping tack is getting harder.  I really want to try to find a program that organizes everything for me... like a family tree that would have all the info of the person as well. I will have to search around....

Hostess packets are going out tomorrow as well as another little box of samples for a web review :)

Looking forward to the upcoming week! :)

A nice 2 days off.....

Well it's back to work tomorrow :(  Overall it has been a nice two days off - except now they are calling for snow tonight - ugh.  I am soooo hoping I do not have to shovel in the morning.

Well today we have had another consultant join our team :) WooHoo!  Welcome Kendra from TX!!  I love watching the team grow!

Well unfortunately I did not make the pancakes today... :( I slept kinda late and then had to take my boyfriend to pick up his car... another time :)  Hmmmm... maybe tomorrow for lunch?  I am going to the gym tomorrow night... so I think I can :) haha

We got the new Feb. promotions today :)  I made up some flyers so I can send them out - as well as sent them to everyone on the team.  I can't wait to start having my Feb. parties!  I am really looking forward to it.  I am still unsure of how many people are coming to each.  So far for my Feb. 13th DYB? dinner party, we have about 12 people who have said yes!  Should be a good time!

My resume (that was professionally done) got emailed to me today :)  Looks pretty nice.. makes me sound pretty good on paper - haha.  So we shall see what comes about with that.. I have a few PA state jobs tests coming up in Feb. and March.  Hopefully the resume will help... It would be nice to just have 1 job (as well as DYB?) instead of the many I have :) I am starting a new job in Feb. for Bluefly.com - it's a work at home position which is nice... but still PT.  I do get a discount though!  I love that.... clothes, shoes, accessories, handbags.... I prob won't make any money... haha.

Well, I am off to answer some emails... check to see if any events are coming up and dealing with my group at school.  I swear, you would not believe that I am in a Masters Program with the way these people act - it is embarrassing!  3 more weeks of this class... it cannot come fast enough! :)

There are many wonderful things that will never be done if you do not do them.

A new level was reached today!!!

So I slept in today.... it was very nice.  I woke up to lots of emails, texts and voicemails - haha.  Also I discovered 2 new members have joined my team!! One of the newbies is on my 4th level!  This is a brand new level for me :)  I was pretty excited.... So with that being said, please welcome Erin from NC and Terri from NJ!!!

Well, I was going to make the sticky buns today - but I had some confusion and tech. difficulties.... so they are on hold. :)  But, for dinner I decided to make the Do You Bake? Saffron Rice with Baked Chicken, Rice Meal Solution.  WOW... this was delicious!  I just used a little olive oil with the seasoning over chciken breasts.... I cut up a red pepper and placed it over the chicken. Baked it in the oven for 1 hour.  The rice took about 20 minutes.  I then just made some baby carrots.  It was a great meal... healthy too! It has a great flavor... great spices.  I posted a few pics on Facebook.  There was no leftovers... haha.  This is a must to make again!  Can't wait to try the others.

Not much else to tell today... it was a pretty relaxing day :) So I am off to pour myself another glass of wine and enjoy the evening :)  Maybe tomorrow I will get up early enough to make the Chocolate Chip Pancakes :)

Not a winner.... maybe next time

Well the iPad drawing was today.... I am not a winner... well I am a winner, but just not for the iPad contest, LOL.  And there is always the Kitchen Aid contest next!! :)

So I got a box of goodies from Vistaprint today :)  love it....  I am still waiting on some more.  The one thing I was happy to get was my new Do You Bake? tote bag.... I am gonna bring that to work everyday as well as to the grocery store and when I am out and about.  It's funny (and this was brought up in a company newsletter today).... our name Do You Bake? really starts a conversation.  Even when I was at events, people just come up to the table and say, "Yes, I do!" or "No, I don't"... I don't even have to start a conversation.  So I thought with the tote bag.... I might get some inquiries.

Today, I did receive a phone call from someone who always parks behind my car! (well that is what she said) - she saw the sign on my car and wants to know more about DYB? - I am going to call her back tomorrow.  But at the end of her message she says, "Oh, and by the way, I do bake!" lol

We had a GREAT newsletter today all about planning parties and how to make them a success!  Lots of great info!  I highly reccommend reading it :) Click the link below...

http://us2.campaign-archive.com/?u=d905a2e7e6c0cde98b51ee764&id=ed601b21c7

So today, Sally (my boyfriend's mom) made the Do You Bake? Rice Pudding.... soooo good!  I love a good homemade rice pudding.... it tasted delicious!  We are going to make another one for her party on the 13th of Feb.  - So far we have 11 people who have said yes to come to the party :)  Should be fun!

Tomorrow, I am mailing out my product samples to the two company's to do reviews :)  Let's hope they like them... although, how could they not!?!? haha

I am so happy that today is Tuesday.... this week felt very long... and cold!  The ice this morning was horrible.... my car was encased in ice when I went out this am, plus the roads were solid ice!  My do looked at me like I was crazy when I walked him this morning.... haha.... he did not like the ice covered snow in the backyard!  But atleast  have the next 2 days off.... I have an interview on Thursday at a Victim Servies Center (volunteer position), but aside from that.... I am hibernating!  And I am going to be testing some more DYB? items..... let's see... Sticky Buns, Chocolate Chip Pancakes, and Saffron Rice with Chicken (if I leave the house to buy the chicken ) lol....  I really want to try the Buffalo Beer Bread too.... I was thinking about making grilled chicken paninis with it and adding some blue cheese/ hot sauce too... mmmmm.....

Well.... I am going to enjoy my "Friday" night, lol.  And I can't wait to sleep in tomorrow :)

Missing a few days....

Wow, time flew this weekend and I never even got a chance to write in my blog :)  Saturday was my 3 year anniversary with the love of my life.  We had a great day... delicious dinner... and I got a new Tiffany & Co. addition to wear on my neck :) Then, my boyfriend's friend got engaged! So we had a party to go to yesterday for them...  And now I am back.  So let me catch you up on the past 3 days in my DYB? world...

2 new members have joined our team!! Woohoo! Welcome Tina from ID & Monique from MO.  I love seeing the DYB? family grow!

DYB? now has a "New Recruit Contest"  which is pretty sweet...  it has some great motivational prizes!  Whoever wins 1st place gets all the company leads for Feb.!!  That is huge!  Should be exciting to see what happens...

I got my new cards... mailers - in the mail this week.  They are cute little packets.  And they are not overflowing with offers... just a handful of vendors in a plastic sleeve.... we shall see if they get me any parties!  (fingers crossed)

And speaking of a party... I booked another party for Feb. today :)  So now I have a party every weekend in Feb!  It's gonna be a busy month! :)  I'm excited!

I made up some binders this weekend with our catalog in them (with sheet protectors).  This idea was given to me by my team leader - that way people can look at them at parties.  I have 2 so far - nice bright colors - I will get more as I go on, but it's a start :)

So my friend, Christina, is having a Valentine's Party next month for Do You Bake? She made the cutest invitations!  I love Valentine's Day :)  I think I am going to have to break out the heart shaped pans and muffin tuns to make it a little more festive! haha - Should be lot's of fun.... I have been planning all the menus for the parties.... I will post them once they are complete :)

OH and I won a FREE month of Link advertising at the Very Busy Mama website..... It's just a link ad, but hey, It's free and free is good!  The link is not up yet... I will post when it goes live.

Also, I am sending out some product samples to 2 websites tomorrow to give a product review and small giveaway on their site.  I made up a little gift package with a letter that I am finishing up tonight.... I hope it goes well :)

One of my new consultants is a web designer... she does nice work.  She is designing a logo for The Roaming Cupcake :)  I feel I need one, plus eventually this year, I would like to register that as my business name.  Can't wait to see what she comes up with.  Her site is below if you want to check it out... she has very good prices :)

http://www.designsbyfifi.com/

On a sad note, I officially lost my first consultant today.  I was a little bummed, but I know that this business is all about numbers.... people will come and go.  Not everyone is going to feel the way I do.... but never the less... it is still a little sad to see someone go :(

Well the iPad contest results were supposed to be announced today.... not sure what happened :(  Maybe tomorrow....??  I am off to watch some TV then crash.... so happy tomorrow is Tuesday!!!

Hooray!....New title for me!!!

Woohoo.. what a day! - Do You Bake? is keeping me busy!!

2 more people have joined the DYB? family!  Welcome to the team....
Leticia from CA and Carissa from IL!!

So some achievements today... I now have a team of over 20 consultants!  And I am now considered a Director for Do You Bake? - which gets me some extra goodies and of course a cool title! hehe  When I joined this company about 3 months ago - I never would have thought I would have growth like this!  I really did not know what to expect... but definately not this and definitely not being a leader!!  It really makes me happy... I give a lot to this and it is nice to see that I am getting a lot back!

I also got all my flyers ordered today... I have the goodie bag in Feb.  This is actual a goodie bag that is being given to women at a couples retreat... so I am not too sure how that will go, but I figured it is worth a try... plus I got all of the flyers for pretty much FREE through Vistaprint :) - I am pretty addicted to that site!  You get so much for free!! I love it!

I got another party for February! WooHoo!  That makes 4 now.... just have to decide on the date.  I am going to be baking and cooking up a storm in February!  Should be lots of fun.... and hopefully, I get some more parties out of it.

This week, I am also going to be putting together a hostess package... I think it will be nice to send to the hostess once she books a party with me.  I can send out a catalog, current and ongoing hostess incentives, and maybe some other things... like a sample invitation for the guests (incase she wants to use or have me send out), my business card, a magnet, recipe card, I think I will give a spice sample too!  I am getting these cute frosted bags to out everything in- like a goodie bag....  I think it will make it a little more special.  I know I would like to get one! :) I found a company called http://www.retailpackaging.com/ and they have good deals on gifts bags.... Should be good for what I am going for! :)

Oh - so my boyfriend's mom made the Cranberry-Lemon Muffins today.... them smelled soooo good in the oven!  She added a 1/2 cup of fresh cranberries... I ate one warm out of the oven.  They are very tasty!  I like that they are not too sweet and do not have a very strong lemon flavor... they are light and airy... so good!  I am gonna eat one in the morning on the way to work!

I have been starting to join some blog communities.... there are just sooooo many!  I have no idea how people keep up with them!  I spend so much time on the computer as it is!  I swear... I could spend an entire day on here....  today I pretty much did... between going to school online and trying to run my business.   My hand has started cramping again!! haha

It has been a nice 2 days off though... lots accomplished - my team has grown.... don't really want to go back to work tomorrow! ugh - also starting back to the gym tomorrow... enough is enough... plus I have some Army Physical Training tests coming up... gotta make sure I pass!!

Well my friends... I shall leave you with a quote....

WooHooo... What a Day!!!

Well I always love to start off a new blog entry with a welcome to a new team member... Welcome Damita from TX to our team!  So happy to have you join us and I look forward to helping you succeed!

So shortly after Damita joined us... I kept getting more emails of new people joining!!!  Damita has been a busy bee!!  She recruited 4... yes 4 people on her first day!  Way to go Damita!

So with that being said, I would like to give a warm welcome to....Juanita from Marshfield MO, Bobbi from Santa Paula CA, Shellie from Hemet CA, and  Lisa from Kennesaw GA!!!

All I can say is WOW!  Today was a good day! :)

I woke up this morning to a snowy covered world.... it was pretty, but what made it even better was that I had off today. :)  I am usually out there at 4am shoveling my car out... but today I slept in.  It was oh so nice!

Well I had that webinar this afternoon.  It was nice.  I chatted with some people who never heard of Do You Bake? - once person fran Canada as asking about it.  I do not presently have anyone from Canada on my team - so that would be great.  We shall see - I have her my email and website.  But other than that I got some helpful info for something being free... especially in regards to host coaching.  Of course the whole idea of the webinar was to buy their program... but I am not ready to shovel out hundreds of dollars to a stranger to help me run my business.  Plus so far I am doing pretty good... and I have some great mentors that help me along the way!

I am going to be supplying cupcakes again for a broker's open on Feb. 5th.  Hopefully that will get me some business.... I got an order from someone trying the cupcakes last time... so hopefully I get more!

Oh and the contest is on!
http://salesmomsnetwork.com/2011/01/do-you-bake-winter-blues-contest-giveaway/
It's a pretty big giveaway, but I had some donations for it :) and the help of another consultant.... so we shall see!  Gotta try something once.....  at least.

Tonight's dessert.... Do You Bake? Apple Blondies.... OMG, these were sooooo good!  I served it warm with vanilla ice cream.... soooo good!  Everyone loved them! My boyfriend... who is not an apple person, went back for seconds!  It has such a good "comfort food" taste.... tomorrow, I will try one chilled :)  The glaze on top is delicious!  So far.... everything has turned out so good!  Which makes me just love what I do even more!

Well lots to do tomorrow.... I am starting to get involved with a lot of websites... It is a bit overwhelming... but I want to get my name out there.... you never know :)

Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does.

Productive day.....

Well to start, I want to welcome Linda from OK to the team! Welcome Linda!!  I love seeing my team grow :)  It really motivates me....

I am trying to get lots done today.... lots to plan, ads, emails, follow-ups.... etc.  We are supposed to have some snow tonight... which for once it will snow on a day that I do not have to get up in the morning!  So I will not mind being stuck inside :)

Some new products news..... there is a Meatball Seasoning coming out!  YUM!  I can't wait to try it!  I have to say, I make pretty good meatballs - and my boyfriend will back me up on this - so I am eager to try this and see how they turn out.... I'll be honest! ;)

One of my customers brought our new catalog to work and got an order already!! I am hoping to get some more during the week to make her get a catalog party!  She is pretty close to a "party" in sales!

Also, one of my parties that is planned in Feb., is turning out to be a full out Do You Bake? Dinner Party!  We are going all out!  Appetizers, Dinner, Dessert, Coffee and Tea - all with Do You Bake? Products!  If only we had some drink mixes... (hint, hint) :)  I am super excited about it....  I have to start planning the menu and make sure that I have all of the stuff in by next month.

New Ads! - see below!

http://www.findapartyconsultant.com/featuredlistings.htm
It's a new website.... the advertising is inexpensive - and as always, I figure... why not?  I'll try it out :)

Tomorrow, I also have a sales webinar that sounds interesting...I will let you know how that goes... hopefully I will get some new info that I can use! Below is the info incase anyone is interested... Since I am so new to this... I will take all the advice I can get!  Especially if I can share it with my team!

"A Direct Sales Action Plan for Serious Success in 2011"

I had a great leadership call tonight with the DYB? team.... it was nice just to talk and listen to the other leaders.  I still can't believe sometimes that I am a leader.....  I really never expected any of this when I signed up... but now I love this company and I am in it for the long haul! :)  We have some great things on the horizon...new products!  I am super excited about it....  Everything that I have had so far and have made has been delicious!

Well... I am off to unwind and have a nice glass of wine.... this week I will be ordering my DYB? wine accessories :) I am hoping in the next two days... I get a lot done :)

I found a long quote for tonight... but it spoke to me :)

Good to be home....

Well it was a cold weekend and felt very long..... plus there was lots of drama with my group for school... I didn't even get involved - it is amazing to me how people act.  But it was a little entertaining - I have to admit :) - It is good to be home in my pajamas.... it is cold out there!

This recipe below is from Sally :) - It is being posted on the DYB? site as well as Facebook too!

Cinnamon Apple Scones:
Use:  Do You Bake? Plain Scone Mix

Oh and FYI - the Do You Bake? Garlic Seasoning is amazing on eggs! - I just made a basic cheese omlet last night and added the seasoning.... soooo good!  Try it!

Some other news! Do You Bake? is coming out with wine accessories!  They are too cute!  Wine charms, wine stoppers, wine bottle display holders.... I am pretty excited about the new line!  We just seem to keep growing and growing!  Great gifts....

Well, I am pretty tired and just wanted to check in with a few updates.  Gonna watch some TV then probably crash....

Remember, anyone and everyone could be a potential buyer - spread the news!!

Ugh.... annoying day!

Well a great start to a day is to find out 3 events were cancelled that I was going to be a part of. One was a V-Day shopping event, 1 was a quarter auction and the other was a fundraiser :(  So I was kinda bummed about that.... my January is looking kinda sad right now. :(

Then!  I just started a new school for my 2nd bachelor degree... I was half way into my first week, when I received an email saying that I cannot receive loan from 2 institutions at the same time!!!  I was soooo mad!  I really do not understand how I can approved for loans and enroll in classes and then get told - oops - we overlooked something!  So I had to drop my classes from that school until I figure everything out.... so annoying.

But, on a good note, I am placing a pretty decent order in tomorrow.... just from friends that I said could get free shipping :)  Plus prepping for my Feb. parties... I was going to place an order for me anyway, so I figured why not try to make the order even bigger and add on some sales.... :)

My sales contest is going out January 10th... I will be sure to link it on here as well as Facebook!

Sales Quarter minimums are going to start in the second quarter.  I think this is great!  It is very low, and I think it is needed.  Especially since we are such a new company, it is important to have the people working at the top!  So, I am all for it

I also have yet another new ad.... it's not up yet, but this is the site it is going on.
http://www.earningsinabasket.com/

So I made the chocolate chip scones yesterday... YUM! I gotta say, I am not a big scone person, but the DYB scone mixes are sooooooo good!  They are super easy to make and come out perfect!  They are light an fluffy (not dense like a lot of scone) - and I just love them!  I was at my boyfriend's and made them... his mom tried them and said, "add two of these to my order!" haha.  She is going to make them and bring them to the office!  Plus they make the kitchen smell amazing!

The iPad drawing is on Jan. 17th.... fingers crossed!!!  Next is the Kitchen Aid give-a-way...... I really want one of those.  It's funny, I had a Kitchen Aid, but never used it since I never baked! hehe.  So I sold it to my boyfriend's mom about 2 years ago..... who would have known that I would starting a business that had a lot of baking! haha - but I do use it when I am at her house to bake sometimes.... and I love it :)  So I am hoping to win one so I don't have to buy one!

Some other great news... I booked a 3rd party for Feb.. Hooray!  3 Valentine's Parties! I am thinking that these theme parties are a great way to get a party!  Maybe birthdays too... any events.  I think going forward this is the angle I am going to persist - even if I have to cater it! haha

Well... I just found a bag of crunch crunch nut mix!  That just made my night... :)

Well I have drill this weekend...... so I probably will not be posting until Monday, unless something comes up that I have to share!!  OH and FINALLY my Black Friday special shipped out today!!  It will arrive tomorrow... I cannot wait!!!  My rice cooker will be here! woohoo!

Well, until next time!! :)

A new level achieved! Hooray!

Well, today was a good day :)

I have had 2 new members join the team! Welcome Wendy from PA and Ashton from VA!  So happy tp have to both on the team!

My team has now grown to a third level! WooHoo! So exciting!  I have everyone listed on a tree in my notebook, but I think I am going to start a poster board or post-its with everyone's name... that way I can see it all nice and clear and easy to access.  What a great way to start off the year! :)

I submitted an ad on a new website today... it's not up yet.  Once it is listed, I will post it on here :) But if you wanna check out the site, it has a lot of great info.

Also today I finalized another party date - Feb. 5th :) We are going to do a Valentine's Day theme - I can't wait.  The hostess is making up cute heart invitations :)

Some sad news.... I got this sent to me today via email:

Information regarding quarter auctions... In many states, including PA they are illegal. It is a form of gambling. Please check your state laws before participating in a QA. It is beginning to receive spotlight in PA in York County.

Below please find an article found on the internet. It is pretty disappointing and has effecting some members of my team :(  I hope it changes.

And just as I was about to post this - another opportunity came up.  I was contacted by a local group that distributes "goodie bags" to moms in the Philly area at local events.  It sounds great... but now I have to think of what to put in the bags! haha!  They have a special where I can get my "goodie" in 1000 bags!  That would be some good exposure - and they are not all at once.  For instance, my first "goodie bag" is for an event for 125 bags in Febuary and then I get advertising on their site as well as Facebook and Twitter.  So we shall see!  I am excited to see what happens!

Then I got another one for advertising on network of sites!  I am not sure how all of a sudden people are finding me... but I guess that is a good thing!  Not sure if I am going to advertise with them... gotta do some more research.

The other mailer that I am participating in will get sent out on Monday!  I will post details and take a pic to show what it looks like!

Well.... after hours of school work and DYB stuff, my hand is actually cramping from all the typing! haha

Until next time!

http://www.verybestofeverything.webs.com/

I also got new profiles on digg.com as well as delicious.com.  Do You Bake? is also on there if you want to check it out!  Some great training tips are now being posted on social websites from the company - which I think is a great idea!  It will give the compnay some great exposure as well :)

So I also locked a date for a party in Feb. today :)  Should be lots of fun!  Still working on the other two dates - but with Valentine's Day just around the corner - it is a great theme for an upcoming party!!

I have an order going out the end of this week - so for any of my local followers - if you would like to place any order with me, let me know - I will give you free shipping!! :)

Mmmmmmm... delicious

Well dinner was sooooooo good!

I have to say, best Mashed Potatoes ever! - My boyfriend's grandma doesn't usually like mashed potatoes, but she went back for seconds!  There was hardly any left overs! haha

I am going to put the recipes together and post them on here and it will be emailed to all the members of my team as well!  There is a new recipe coming out to make beer bread - bread pudding!! Can't wait to try that! I should be getting the recipe this week!

So I have another event I was invited to for a Valentine's Day Boutique... still waiting on the final say if enough people commit to being a vendor.  I have good events with the people putting it together, so hopefully it will work out.

So many thing up in the air right now...  I am hoping in the next week, some things get committed!  I know some members of my team have some parties planned this month - which is AWESOME! I can't wait to hear about them - since I am continuously learning as well!

Well - not much else has happened today and I am stuffed from dinner! hehe

Here are the recipes!

Do You Bake? Meatloaf
Preheat oven to 350°

Ingredients:
1 lb. (Beef, Pork & Veal) Mixed
2T DYB Meatloaf Seasoning
1 egg
About 1 cup of bread crumbs
½ to ¾ cup of milk

Topping:
½ T Mustard
1T Ketchup
1-1/2 T Brown Sugar
3-4 Slices of Bacon

Mix meat mixture, seasoning, bread crumbs, egg and milk all together until combined.  Shape mixture into a loaf and place on a baking sheet.

In a separate bowl combine mustard, ketchup and brown sugar.

Brush loaf with mixture.  Place 3-4 slices of bacon on top of loaf.

Bake in oven  for 1 hour.

Do You Bake? Garlic & Cheddar Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients:
5-7 medium to large potatoes (I used Russet)
½ Sharp Cheddar Cheese (white)
2T Do You Bake? Garlic Mashed Potato Seasoning
Milk as needed (about ½ cup)
2T butter

Peel potatoes and cut into cubes.  Place in pot of well salted water and boil until tender.  About 20-25 minutes.
Drain potatoes.  Combine potatoes with rest of ingredients and mix until creamy and smooth.  I used an electric mixer and they came out great!
Also - if you are making the Do You Bake? Garlic and Herb Biscuits - add 1/4 cup of cheddar cheese to the dough before you roll it out! AMAZING :)

I also made some roasted broccoli with fresh garlic and olive oil! Delicous :)

I hope you enjoy!

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year Everyone!!  Hope everyone had a great New Year's Eve :)  I had a quiet evening... since I had to work this AM.

So a new year and fresh new starts!  I am excited...

I did put a deposit for that event in March! Woohooo.... It was a chunk of money, but hopefully will be worth it.  I also get to put something in 150 bag inserts!  Still figuring that out though - probably some kind of incentive for having a party, or a discount for a certain amount on an order.  I am going to have to stock up on catalogs too!

Speaking of catalogs - we got the draft of the new catalog - 26 pages.  It is really lovely and I am so excited to see what it looks like in person!  There are soooooo many new products!  I am already making a list of what I want! haha - but let's hope I sell some too.  Although I am a very good customer to myself!

So.... so far for January, I have 3 tentative parties planned.  I am just trying to figure out dates.  One might be in Feb. - but I am still not sure.  Hopefully they all go through!  Especially now having the catalogs!

Also, I just found out about 2 events coming up - one is in Jan. and the other is in Feb.  I emailed the woman and will give her a call Monday.  Hopefully those will be good - they are local too, which is nice :)

The January contest starts this month too!!  Hopefully that will get me some exposure....  I will post the details once I receive the actual ad.

I listed Do You Bake? on MerchantCircle for a local business in my area.  You never know who is searching about :)

Well... I think that is about all for now.  This week should be interesting.  Winter break is over and my new school starts this week too... so that is 4 classes I will be taking... ugh - what was I thinking....

OK... so I know I have said it before, but tomorrow night will be a DYB? dinner :)

Meatloaf w/ DYB Meatloaf Seasoning
Garlic Mashed Potatoes w/ cheese (maybe bacon) with DYB Garlic Mashed Potato Seasoning
DYB Garlic & Herb Biscuits
Broccoli

Then DYB Coffee Cake for dessert :)

YUMMY!
